Over the time it has been ranked as high as 111 299 in the world, while most of its traffic comes from USA, where it reached as high as 99 123 position. It was owned by several entities, from Hostmaster EINSUNDEINS of 1&1 Internet AG to Ruediger Kunze, it was hosted by Universitaet Kiel, Helmholtz-Zentrum fuer Ozeanforschung Kiel (GEOMAR) and others.

Fishbase has a high Google pagerank and bad results in terms of Yandex topical citation index. We found that Fishbase.de is poorly ‘socialized’ in respect to any social network. According to MyWot and Google safe browsing analytics, Fishbase.de is quite a safe domain with no visitor reviews.
